Have a look over the shoulder of a sculptor and stonemason!
The sculptorer and stonemason will take you through his exhibition and workshop, explaining the local sandstone and its history and will demonstrate historic tools and techniques.
In his studio, you will be shown a variety of sculptures made of various types of stone as well as metal sculptures and wood carvings, with a special highlight being hand-carved masks for the carnival season.
He will also explain the restoration and casting techniques he uses, showing examples of his work.
Each visitor will receive a small handmade plaster sculpture as a souvenir.
This is a unique opportunity to get an insight into an increasingly rare profession.
